About Us

My Zanzibar is a leading tour operator based in Zanzibar, recognized as a key player in the island’s tourism industry, particularly for French-speaking clients. As part of our development, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our growing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tools to track incomes, costs and expenses related to the company’s various activities
  • Create reporting tools for management purposes
  • File income declarations with the relevant authorities in Zanzibar
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
  • Provide necessary data to the company’s partner consulting firm
  • Manage HR-related documentation for employees
  • Handle procedures for obtaining or renewing official documents required for the company’s operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in accounting or financial management
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting
  • Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance in Zanzibar is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
