About the Role

Taifa Gas is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This position focuses on mechanical projects, with an emphasis on piping for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical projects, particularly in piping for LPG.
  • Ensure compliance with LPG industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Utilize piping design software and AutoCAD for project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical projects, particularly in piping with a focus on LPG.
  • In-depth knowledge of LPG industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong proficiency in piping design software and AutoCAD.
  • Registered as a professional engineer with the Engineer’s Registration Board (ERB).
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Certification in relevant safety standards and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to simplify information for stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
