Role: Trade Marketer (Permanent)

Purpose of the Role

Increase the sales of products commercialized by TCC in the assigned territory.

Priority 1

Guarantee the realization of set marketing programs across the entire Retail Territory assigned to Him or Her with key objectives of:

  • Developing the share of the market of TCC brands.
  • Reinforcing the positioning of JTI global flagship brands

Priority 2

  • Ensure the availability and visibility of our priority products across the serviced Territory.
  • Guarantee the quarterly implementation of the Sales Cycle Activities compliance with partner customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Objectives Attainment

  • Negotiate orders promises
  • Deploy Trade Marketing activities in retail outlets
  • Establish win/win partnerships with customers
  • Act as a brand ambassador
  • Engage consumers at Point of Purchase (POP)
  • Master sales channels segmentation
  • Maintain market knowledge (illicit trade, HoReCa, etc.)
  • Ensure Territory’s volume targets are met
  • Provide market feedback via TME Lite

2. Retail Territory Management

  • Conduct regular customer calls (min. 1 visit/month per outlet)
  • Optimize daily routes and customer interactions
  • Ensure product availability and effective merchandising
  • Deploy communication tools (POSM, promotions)
  • Monitor product cleanliness and report quality issues
  • Resolve stock shortages with MSM coordination

3. Commercial Monitoring

  • Maintain updated customer data in TME system
  • Surface distribution network opportunities

4. Reporting

  • Document activities in TME system
  • Report competitor activities and market insights

Requirements

  • University Degree or Advanced diploma in related field
  • 1 year experience in related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili
  • Valid Driver license with practice (pass TCC driving test)
