About the Role

Join TUI Hotels & Resorts as the Credit Controller where you will oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function, ensuring effective credit risk management, timely collections, and strong collaboration with both internal departments.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the property while upholding our service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build travel agents relationships and understand all payment terms
  • Ensure the Aging of Debtors is kept under control, with regular reporting and proactive follow-up
  • Post/allocate bank transfers/credit notes/journals in accounting system daily
  • Process credit card payments and payment batches
  • Reconcile debtors’ accounts and keep them up to date
  • Collaborate with Sales, Front Office, and Reservations to resolve payment issues
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings with relevant departments
  • Prepare aging reports and analyze accounts receivable data during month-end closings
  • Manage collections process and follow up with travel agents for timely payments
  • Identify and mitigate credit risks, escalating issues when necessary
  • Resolve travel agent queries or disputes
  • Achieve monthly collection targets
  • Supervise and train the Accounts Receivable team

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role, preferably in high-end hotels
  • Strong knowledge of credit control, accounts receivable, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hotel finance systems (Opera, ERP)
  • Experience with financial software and reporting tools
  • Understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and risk management
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and English communication skills
