About HESLB

The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) is a corporate body established under the Act No. 9 of 2004, as amended in 2007, 2014, and 2016, with the primary objective of assisting needy and eligible Tanzanian students to access loans and grants for pursuing higher education. The establishment of HESLB marked a significant milestone in Tanzania’s efforts to expand access to tertiary education and promote equal opportunities for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
