The Head of Business Development will lead and transform the organisation’s resource mobilisation function to deliver suitable, diversity, and strategic income growth aligned to the Country Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a forward-looking Resource Mobilisation Strategy
  • Drive diversification of funding sources (bilateral, corporate, climate finance)
  • Lead market intelligence and donor landscape analysis
  • Build strategic partnerships with donors, government, and private sector
  • Oversee high-quality proposal development and grant compliance
  • Explore innovative financing models (blended finance, social impact partnerships)
  • Ensure safeguarding, gender equality, and inclusion in all initiatives

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in International Development, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years in resource mobilization/business development
  • Proven track record in securing large-scale institutional funding
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience in private sector engagement preferred
