Role: Optimize IT equipment usage, provide on-site support, and ensure system availability for airport operations.

Key Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science + 2 years’ experience troubleshooting Windows/Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure and manage the continuity of service of the computer network.
  • Monitor equipment condition through regular visits and take corrective/preventive measures.
  • Implement data backups, antivirus definitions, and security policies.
  • Maintain computers/devices for passenger enrollment and analysis.
  • Ensure software installations comply with company licensing policies.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to IT Airport Supervisor using the Issue Tracking system.
  • Replace hardware components as needed.
  • Identify and resolve basic network issues.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili (written and spoken).
  • 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting Windows 10, Windows Server, and Linux.
  • Experience with immigration controls software/hardware (preferred).
  • Skills in Microsoft.NET, SQL Server, MS Project, or MS Visio are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with biometric technologies or data mining is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.
