Project Overview

World Vision Tanzania seeks highly qualified candidates for a donor funded project with an ultimate goal to improve nutrition, nutrition-related rights, and gender equality for the poorest and most marginalized, especially women, adolescent girls, and children under 5 years of age. The project is implemented in Lake Cluster of World Vision operation area in Maswa, Simiyu Region.

Project Aims:

  • Improved adoption of gender-equitable practices in nutrition, health, and SRHR, at individual, household, and community levels
  • Strengthened delivery of gender-equitable and responsive nutrition, health and SRHR services for the poorest and the most marginalized women, adolescent girls, and children.
  • Improved effectiveness of local stakeholders in target countries and Canada, on gender equitable local and international nutrition specific and SRHR activities, advocacy, and policy dialogue.

Key Responsibilities

The Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will provide technical guidance and support to the Project to comply with WV DM&E Management policy (LEAP/IPM) guidelines & standards, Child Well Being Objectives (CWBO) and donor requirements to achieve the intended program results and impact in a cost- effective manner, while maintaining a high level of excellence and accountability.

Major Responsibilities

  • Implement project initiatives in monitoring, evaluation, impact measurement, and reporting system (30%)
  • Implement project Learning, information and knowledge system (30%)
  • Build capacity of staffs, partners and community in MEAL (20%)
  • Networking, visibility and donor recognition (15%)
  • Participate in Other Organisational Activities (5%)

Qualifications

Required Professional Experience

  • 3-5 years in programs management
  • Demonstrated experience in Learning, Evidence and documentation of success stories.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in international donor funded projects

Required Education

BA/BSc Degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Development studies/planning, Business administration, social science disciplines or other related disciplines.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with government officials and multiple partners
  • High proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook

Work Environment

  • Base in Maswa, Simiyu Region
  • Excellent written and spoken English essential
