About Simba Cement

Simba Cement is seeking an experienced Electrical Planner to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all maintenance activities for the plant.
  • Manage planning of major equipment outages and repairs using project-planning techniques.
  • Ensure regulated inspections comply with safety guidelines to minimize downtime.
  • Develop work schedules with production departments for operational efficiency.
  • Liaise between departments for optimal coordination.
  • Oversee parts availability by collaborating with stores/purchasing teams.
  • Assist in inventory control and obsolete parts identification.
  • Support budget preparation and long-term maintenance goals.
  • Review costs and recommend savings opportunities.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to environmental policies.
  • Comply with HM Group Code of Business Conduct.
  • Perform other supervisor-assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of plant preventive maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles/purchasing.
  • Project management skills (multi-department projects preferred).
  • Communication and team coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Projects).
  • ERP software familiarity for maintenance.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
