About the Role

IFC is seeking an Operations Officer to advance gender and economic inclusion initiatives in Tanzania and assigned sub-region countries. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring projects that foster inclusive growth, working closely with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Delivery & Business Development

  • Deliver gender/inclusion projects and manage client relationships across assigned countries.
  • Collaborate with IFC teams to integrate gender considerations into project design and evaluation.
  • Operationalize Tanzania’s Gender Country Umbrella Program with industry teams.

Strategy, Communications & Partnerships

  • Support country management on gender/inclusion strategies and donor engagement.
  • Organize forums/events to promote initiatives and represent IFC at external conferences.
  • Manage consultant selection and performance for Tanzania’s gender program.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Master’s degree in economics, gender studies, international development, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in gender/inclusion programs, preferably in emerging markets.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with IFC’s operations and private sector development strategies is an advantage.
