About the Role

Asilia Lodges and Camps Ltd seeks a Tanzanian Resident Guide with expertise in wildlife, leadership, and hospitality. The role involves enhancing guest experiences through guided safaris across Northern Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge on wildlife, ecosystems, culture, and geology during game drives
  • Host guests throughout their stay, including dinners and activity planning
  • Conduct vehicle safety checks and maintain first aid kits
  • Promote Asilia’s conservation and community projects
  • Share safari updates via social media
  • Collaborate with Camp Manager and Head Guide on operational reporting

Requirements

  • 3+ years as Field Guide or similar role in hospitality
  • Registered with the Tanzanian guiding board
  • Fluent English (additional languages advantageous)
  • Class C driving license
  • Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and punctuality
  • Age limit: ≤35 years
  • Willingness to work in remote camp locations
