Position Description

Barrick seeks to employ a CCTV Security Supervisor based at Bulyanhulu Mine in Tanzania. This role reports to the Security Superintendent, and the role holder will be accountable for implementing general security activities and assisting with the supervision of contractors’ security personnel and local guards in compliance with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and Barrick / BGML standards and procedures. This position will be responsible for both Process Plant security and general security operations.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Coordination of resources/logistics for timely service delivery
  • Security Prevention Awareness maintenance
  • Reporting deficiencies to minimize loss
  • Accurate delivery of administrative reports
  • Team assessment per Barrick policies
  • Investigation of Search Policy breaches
  • Daily inspection of card readers
  • Weekly fence line inspections

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Valid Driving License
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Mining experience advantageous
