Duties and responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant Grade II will be responsible for the following

Filing accounts documents.

Arranging accounts files in storage.

Dispatching cheques to payees.

Preparing payment vouchers.

Serving as a cashier for both receiving and paying funds, issuing receipts for funds received, and obtaining acknowledgement for funds paid.

Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring it is up to date.

Maintaining staff imprest records and retirements.

Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess either of the following

A Certificate in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution; or

ATEC I offered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

The successful candidates will receive remuneration according to the

salary scale.
