Responsibilities

Conducting nursing care at North Mara Mine Clinic

Conduct daily patient triage and ensure smooth attendance at the clinic.

Administering medicines, injections and vaccinations as prescribed by the doctor.

Assisting in conducting investigations i.e., audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening during medical check-ups.

Conducting routine inspections of clinic/ ambulance equipment.

Maintaining employees’ medical records.

Conducting the return-to-work program following work-related injuries or a period of prolonged ill-health.

Assessing the work environment for potential health and safety hazard.

Delivering a range of health and

safety

related training programs including Site Induction.

Participating in meetings, and health promotion activities; and delivery of awareness sessions.

Implementing health initiatives/programs e.g., PHE scheme, First Aid, HIV/AIDS

Workplace program, Malaria etc.

Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety

Qualification Requirements

Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution

Experience And Competencies Needed.

2-3 years, working in a Mining Industry will be an added advantage
