Job purpose

Responsible for providing strategic oversight and technical leadership to ensure the physical integrity, operational efficiency, compliance, and brand alignment of all Bank facilities within the assigned Zone.

The role drives business continuity and optimizes the total cost of ownership through proactive facilities management. The position is also responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of offsite ATMs and service points/CCPs.

The specialist ensures all facilities align with ISO 41001 standards for performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Main responsibilities

Asset management, maintenance and business continuity (hard services)

Lead the full planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and health check program for all MEP and AC systems to maximize uptime and extend asset lifecycle.

Ensure physical and security system reliability by coordinating 24/7 support, urgent repairs, and adherence to safety and OSHA standards across branches.

Manage the complete lifecycle of all non-ICT fixed assets, including verification, coding, disposal, and compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

Drive business continuity by executing rapid response plans for facility disruptions such as power failures, fires, or security incidents.

Oversee the records and information management lifecycle, ensuring the availability of compliant, secure, and environmentally suitable archival facilities.

Construction project leadership and quality assurance

Lead the end-to-end delivery of offsite ATMs (OSAs) and service points/CCPs, covering site assessment, design coordination, procurement, construction supervision, financial approvals, and operational handover.

Serve as the Zonal Quality Assurance lead for large branch construction projects, ensuring adherence to BOQs, design standards, workspace requirements, and timely closure of all snags before CPC.

Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new branch sites and ATM locations in collaboration with the Channels team.

Support construction lending by verifying project progress, checking compliance with approved drawings, and providing professional quality assessments for mortgage-related decisions.

Manage the evaluation and execution of projects using the Force Account methodology in line with approved policies.

Compliance, soft services and administration

Ensure full compliance with statutory obligations, including Land Rent, Property Tax, Signage Fees, and related regulatory requirements for all Zonal properties.

Manage the Zonal Lease portfolio, ensuring all agreements are updated, payments are processed accurately, and landlord relations are maintained to prevent operational interruptions.

Enforce NMB’s branding, aesthetic, and workspace standards across all facilities.

Coordinate and monitor security arrangements with police, guards, and regional authorities to ensure safe and compliant branch operations.

Oversee Zonal Fleet and driver management, ensuring adherence to fleet policy, insurance requirements, and traffic regulations.

Drive institutional sustainability initiatives and ensure ESG practices are implemented consistently across all branches.

Financial, vendor and risk management

Manage vendor performance, enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensure contractors deliver quality services aligned with contract terms.

Support the preparation of the Zonal Facilities budget and manage operating and capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and value-for-money principles.

Identify technical, safety, and security risks across facilities and implement corrective action to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Land Management and Valuation, Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Building Economics, or related fields.

A master’s degree in business studies or a postgraduate qualification in Real Estate or Project Management, such as PMP, is an added advantage.

Professional membership or registration with a relevant professional body, such as

Valuers Registration Board (VRB)

Engineers Registration Board

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

Minimum of four years’ experience in a multi-site Properties and Facilities Management role.

Proven successful end-to-end project management and delivery of small, distributed construction sites, such as ATMs, kiosks, and service points.
