Job Overview

Our client is a leading company in the mining and industrial trading sector, renowned for quality products, reliable service, and strong partnerships. As they continue to grow their market presence, they are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and achieve sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical/commercial field
  • 3+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in mining, construction, engineering, or industrial equipment sectors
  • Solid understanding of industrial products, mining equipment, or technical sales processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand client needs and propose suitable solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Swahili is an added advantage
  • Confident in negotiation, closing deals, and managing long sales cycles

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining, construction, and industrial sectors
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations and technical demonstrations
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, logistics, finance) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients
  • Follow up on leads, manage the sales pipeline, and convert prospects into paying customers
  • Provide after-sales support and handle client queries or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collections and repeat business
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events to represent the company
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, technical specifications, and applications
