Position: Communications Coordinator

Location: Mwanza Region, Tanzania

At Trees for the Future (TREES), we empower farmers to transform landscapes through agroforestry. With over 30 years of impact across Africa, our Forest Garden Approach combats climate change and poverty by restoring ecosystems and building sustainable food systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of TREES Tanzania’s Communications Strategy
  • Develop high-quality content (stories, photos, videos) showcasing program impact
  • Coordinate media relations, campaigns, and public engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements
  • Conduct field documentation and build stakeholder relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism or related field
  • 5+ years experience in NGO communications or media
  • Strong storytelling, photography, and digital communication skills
  • Fluency in English; Kiswahili proficiency preferred
  • Ability to travel frequently to rural areas
